Founder of MeshYoga
Creator of DaBo
The inspiration to create “DaBo” is tied to Michelle’s vision for MeshYoga, which was intended to help students on their yoga journey but also empower them to let go of that guiding hand and explore their practice privately.
Raised in Hong Kong and inspired by the memory of her father as a little girl, Michelle spent her youth as a dancer, training in ballet from the young age of 8 at the Beijing Dance Academy and the Hong Kong Royal Ballet, as well as on exchange with Julliard. However, following a serious back injury in 2006, Michelle's professional dance career was cut short, which changed her life trajectory, and guided by her doctor during her rehabilitation she found her new passion: yoga.
With her curious spirit and dedicated work ethic, Michelle dove into many different styles of yoga over the last 15 years, from Iyengar and Ashtanga to Bikram and more. She was fortunate enough to study in Shanghai with Duncan Wong, creator of the Yogic Arts system, and be mentored in the U.S. by the Ashtanga master Richard Freeman. MeshYoga is the culmination of her extensive experience and knowledge – in essence, it’s Michelle’s expression and personal interpretation of yoga.
Michelle is a dedicated teacher, entrepreneur, artist and student always learning and forever curious… As she says - "Less Human Doing… More Human Being". She currently practices and teaches “DaBo” x MeshYoga workshops in Los Angeles and on the road, and is constantly creating and improving her products for the MeshYoga community.
